Representatives of Sound Food will join Sharen, the Culinary Coordinator at Town & Country Market on Bainbridge Island, for a series of demonstrations about cooking locally and seasonally. We'll be cooking up some of the fresh local produce and seafood that's available at T&C. Sharen will have printed recipes on hand, and we'll be offering fre tastes of what's cooking.

The demonstrations will be on Friday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm, on September 3rd and 17th. We'll use whatever's fresh, from Butler Green Farm produce to Lummi Island reefnet salmon. On Friday September 3 we'll be serving up some ideas for the Labor Day Weekend: Port Madison Petite oysters from the shores of Bainbridge Island, Fraser River sockeye salmon topped with Island-grown tomatoes, Zucchinni spoonbread made with Butler Green's zukes, and Beecher's Macaroni and Cheese!

Town & Country Market is located at 343 Winslow Way East on Bainbridge Island. The food demonstrations are held in the Culinary Center at the rear of the store near the seafood section.
