Now you can pick up a ba g of Island-grown greens, a dozen eggs and some fresh chevre any day of the week at Bay Hay and Feed in Rolling Bay on Bainbridge Island. The cooler behind the nursery section is stocked with locally-grown food.
Several varieties of Port Madison Farm goat cheese will be available -- this is the only place on the island besides the Farmers Market where it is sold. Fresh duck eggs from The Ruffing's Camp 4 Farm are offered, as well as the year's first salad greens from Butler Green Farm.
Later in the season the selection will expand to include meat, fruit, bread and more veggies, all from local producers.
